I have registered Creative-Central.net 2 months ago, although I haven’t decided what do with it during the last months I still bought it because of the domain availability and easy search engine targeting the domain, better traffic so to speak. As you can see, it has now a full blog look on it and lesser free downloads.

I have put off my avatars section since a lot more sites are doing it while the texture category will be moving on to as blog section. I won’t be giving you one or two pieces at time but a bundle instead.

Textures has a lot of different types. There are 2d textures where you can use for your 3d models that comes with an alpha texture sometimes. Alpha textures are black and white textures which you could use for transparency and guided grids for your 2d textures. There are fractals which is perfect for 3d effects such as particles if you wanted to use it for some online games like secondlife.com. There are background textures such as 3d renders and patterns, and; ofcourse the usual texture that is known to the creative community which they use for enhancing their designs.

On the other categories, the desktop wallpaper section is still there untouched, however, I’m going to shift from 1024×768 to 1280×1024 or higher. The ordinary 1024×768 is already phased out because monitor quality nowadays has higher resolution and it would look crappy on some people who are using better video cards on their computers.

Wallpapers are my favorite! It’s easier for me to conceptualize a wallpaper than do a raw texture hehe! It gives more meaning to the design per say without the trouble of scripting it and putting it up from image to codes. My SL screenshots are almost no-edit. I edit it on the SL client itself as they have good lighting and sky effects, plus colorization. Not to mention the details in-world are better than 2ds. I am a great fan of 3d, please don’t take it against me. Infact, I have done 3 wallpapers for this update.

The layout categories are now being categorized as Web Design as pre-made layouts aren’t anymore as popular as it is. No offense meant, but on how i see things, people would rather download a theme or a ready made template that is fully-coded for their site. Themes and templates comes with a specific code for some web softwares such as Wordpress or Joomla. Inside the zip file it has its source code and if you purchase themes from premium sites it also comes with the raw psd file which you can modify anyway you wanted. So, overall, a theme or a template is the fully-functional layout ready for upload and use.

So, I would be giving you those when I got more time on my hands, probably sooner. But for sure, I’ll be providing you more links where you can find better themes and templates. It’s a good way to practice HTML, CSS and PHP without pulling your hairs how to start from scratch.

On the brushes category, I am not sure how many of you are using Photoshop, Gimp, Illustrator, Corel or PaintShop, it is a .abr extension which is compatible for Photoshop CS1 to CS4. It is always nice to include the raw file on it but since what I’m giving you is free so I won’t include any image files or raw on zip as its under Creative Common’s License. You may see the Terms of Use for more information.

2010 is near and this is my resolution… change. Since, I have been engaging to a not so connected stuffs like SL, Joomla, Jomsocial, IPB, vBulletin, PHPBB3 and I’ve been trying other stuffs all around the net during these past few months, I might as well say goodbye to the community I love to bits. I would like to move ChemicalRain.net to a new mission.

First move… I stumbled upon Elegant Themes oneday while I’m looking for an inspiration for CHR and now, I have chosen to show you one of Nick’s WPTheme that I envy so much and that is Lumin (December released). You can see this on my site as my new layout for Episode 5. I have modded it to suit the sites new mission and made a gallery for my archives and graphic designs. CHR will now focus on innovation.

Innovation what? ChemicalRain.net is now my official graphics, resources and designing blog. I will be posting more on trends, updates of some of the web softwares I’ve been using, purchased and a couple of other stuffs to-date. I’ll be sharing with you some of the wonderful sites I have visited and other cool graphics I have seen or searching so far.

I still want to continue doing some graphics during my spare time in fact I have done 1 brush last week… but then my post will soon be as off as making its going to be a blog. Updates could be less or could be more often. I always see new stuffs on the net as I’ve been doing a lot of experiments about the web softwares I mentioned above. This is a not goodbye to all of you who have been visiting me all this time, instead this is my new ChemicalRain.net. All other net presence will soon be arriving here and most of my activities will be placed here, even if its non-sense ;p

I am still editing a few more parts here, so I guess the new born blog is still not so ready but I’ll be posting soon what I had to post.

So, while everyone is busy with school, work and family. I’m still here doing the usual thing. My secondlife family is growing again with role-players. We had a Stronghold’s (officers) meeting yesterday and I was like “OMG!” We’re working on some role-play stories and was collaborated with our own idea. I’m happy that my brain thinks again. ;p

On the other hand, I am also setting up a creative community, which I don’t think I’ll launch this year. I know most of us are truly busy and some of my affiliates have not updated their sites for like 2 to 3 months? That’s fine, real life comes first, as always. Maybe. I would look for a partner in doing it, else I’ll look for alternative.

I just don’t want the space and the licenses to expire without doing anything useful on them *lol* I would rather donate it to a strong community who would like it or need it than keeping it here sleeping and waiting it to expire. Sometimes, I lack planning on what I do, its just because I’m easily discouraged by uncalled criticisms which I don’t expect or maybe I don’t consider in the first place, especially, when I expected too much about it. Downside? It turns out the same. I just love what I’m doing. Ahaha!

Well, anyway, sorry about the “No Graphics on this update” thingy. I’ll for sure have them on my next update. Although, I’m thinking of another revamp. I mean a total overhaul. As you know, I love experiments ;p and since I am more on advancement than doing the old bored ways, I might give it a shot. If its not here then somewhere else. I will for sure let everyone know about changes when I am decided to go for it.

Currently, I have 2 sites online. The one is for my SL Role-play community and Chemical Rain. Well, I added one though UROCK-IHOST.com, a site for my hostees. Some of them are non-english sites and I love watching them. Well, I don’t care about who’s doing when and who’s doing what. Help is help. So, right now… enjoy.

Additions? I snatched some more time designing and coding layouts. I uploaded 2 layouts – Lips of an Angel and Oblivion. Added 4 matching avatars to this theme and 1 texture. There is also 2 wallpapers which are Radiance and Twilight.

Twilight you say? Yes! I’m in-love with the movie. I watched it like 5 times during my break times and I bought all 4 Books of Stephenie Meyer and its DVD plus I’m waiting for New Moon on November. Obssessed? So far… hmmn, let’s just say WOW this is something. Edward OMG! ;p I like to take some snap shots of the movie from the DVD to put as an avatar or do another wallpaper. Heh~

Oh well, there will be some editing to do still. I’m planning to put up my hosting services again and hopefully a new category soon – Wordpress Themes. Anyway, I hope you like everything on this update. Jah!~

Now, as I promised from my last update I’m giving you all 2 new premade layouts. Champagne Glory which I actually did last 3 months ago while playing with some typographies yet hesitant to post since I can’t think of better wordings to add to it. The second one is the Signale Version 2 which I just did days ago in replacement of my old Signale Layout. I also added a new Wallpaper. SL clan related – The Covenant, I did our logo so I’m showing it off.

Hmmmn, I still have 2 pending layouts to code, 4 textures to add (I forgot what CD I put it in) and 2 wallpapers I’m trying to put together, so it won’t be long till I update.

Oooh and yeah, please all welcome Kai of Lunar Eclipse to my beloved affiliation list. Bah! Kai’s site is new yet breathtaking, I honestly like her style. So, my affiliations section will now be closed until further notice ;p

You might want to ask why I was gone for a couple of months. Well, as you know, I was pregnant… I lost the baby last January 6, 2009… miscarraige so to speak. We named him Ydreece, and yes its a boy. With this, I have to take some rest a bit from doing some online works. I’ve been always online but to forget what happened I went back to SecondLife and meet some new friends. Right, I miss the game, I got new account. Ho… no worries, I’m totally fine now and everything is all cool.

Now to my additions. I only have 1 avatar, 1 brush and 1 wallpaper. I am sorry. Maybe, I need more time to go back to my senses. Ho ho and I haven’t introduced my new affiliates before I went MIA; Emmy of Electric Coloured Candy and Henry of Protowhale. Two sites with jam packed awesome graphics. Henry got his neatly done vectors.

For this update, I added 2 Wallpapers and 1 Texture. The two wallpapers are my newest photo manipulated creations which are originally meant as a poster for a place in Second Life (3d Chat Game). If you are familiar with it, well I’m playing SL again and this time I’m enjoying the game much more than ever. Yay! Maybe because I have a new career there? Lolz!

Although Noelle is still on the process of regaining her site back online, I’m pretty much excited with her come back. *You can do it lady!*
